BIOGRAPHY

Anthony began his career in the City in 1966, as an investment analyst assessing financial markets for Far Eastern clients and he took an early interest in hedge funds. In 1984 he founded Allenbridge Group plc, the retail division of which was sold to Close Brothers Asset Management in February 2011.

Anthony is now Chairman of AllenbridgeEpic Investment Advisers Limited (AllenbridgeEpic), which advises public and private funds with assets of some £29 billion. The hedge fund research team supporting AllenbridgeEpic, Hedgeinfo, provides a respected rating and consultancy service on hedge funds and funds of hedge funds. It was named ‘Best Hedge Fund Advisory Firm’ in the 2010 HFM Awards and nominated as ‘Hedge Fund Consultant of the Year’ in Institutional Investors’ 2010 Annual Hedge Fund Industry Awards. He is also Chairman of Allenbridge Limited, which includes a Tax Shelter business providing research on specialised vehicles (VCTs and EIS funds).

Anthony is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He is also a non-executive director of Anglo-Pacific Group plc (a London listed FTSE 250 Index constituent) and serves on the boards of several charities and non-profit organisations.
